Dear residents and local businesses,
Here is a roundup of what the Foleshill Neighbourhood team officers have been doing this week.
OUR Priorities
Our priorities are now business crime, this is an issue all over the north east and officers are proactively patrolling the affected areas. We have officers in plain clothes as well as in hi visibility uniform.
Officers are carrying out dedicated retail crime patrols and plain clothes operations to provide reassurance to shop keepers, deter anti social behaviour and address concerns raised by the community. Alongside this the dedicated retail crime patrols are focusing on supporting local shops, tackling shop theft and working closely with shop staff to prevent repeat offences
IN OTHER NEWS
Officers have completed joint operations with trading standard officers this week, officers visited various shops across the north of the city speaking with business owners and on the look out for counterfeit goods. Officers did recover tobacco products and also pepper spray which is illegal to have. One arrest was made on this occasion and enquiries are continuing.
Officers have also executed a drugs warrant on a property in the city, this was after gathering intelligence and making local enquiries. As a result of the warrant being executed, roughly 250 grown cannabis plants were found, seized and destroyed. Another good job and more drugs off the streets.
Our local PCSO’s have been spending time within primary schools this week, delivering talks on safety and those that help us. The children loved trying on different police uniforms and also seeing the police vehicle and being able to use the lights are sirens. It is always enjoyable when we get time to complete community events like this and the children and teachers were very thankful of our visit.
